Podcasting Technology

Leon - Reverb StudiosI was trying to submit my podcast feed to iTunes yesterday and encountered a few problems, gonna try to clear the situation up for people here who would like to start Podcasting and who would like to submit to iTunes.
- Create/Record your Podcast. You can do this in any number of ways but the easiest and most obvious is to use the PC and a Mic/Headset.
- Get hold of some FREE recording software for the PC, eg – Audacity
- Record you vocal and save it in MP3 format, Mono and about 64kbps
- Next I recommend getting yourself a FREE self-hosted WordPress Blog
- Theres some great FREE Podcasting Plugins for WordPress, the one I’ve started using is Podpress
- Write a new post in WordPress and simply include the Podcast details and your podcast/Audio File URL
- Thats it, you’re podcasting!
If you want to submit your podcast to Apple iTunes, you might have trouble finding out how – took me a while yesterday! Heres the link along with some other important technical info.
