New Baby Girl!

So after nearly 6 years from the initial decision to try for a baby and after much infertility treatment, pain, emotion, mileage, financial outlay and nerves – today at 8:34am our daughter finally arrived and about 2 weeks earlier than expected! Pregnancy Countdown

Today we are at 31 weeks and 4 days according to my iphone app! and yes its getting a bit like watching paint dry. The baby is wreaking havock in Emer and she has just about had enough! Pregnancy Scare

Nothin is ever feckin easy. I’m in the hospital with my partner at the min digesting the news that if the cyst on her ovary gets any worse they will have to remove it and possibly the ovary too. On top of that there’s a 50/50 chance that she’ll go into labour at 24 weeks. Scared.

Had our first proper scan today in Sligo General and got given out to for getting scaned too early, apparently its usually in the late 20’s or early 30’s weeks when you get your first scan but we were only following orders! Read the full article »

Pregnancy Heartbeat Recording

I’ve been quiet on the pregnancy news front cause there ain’t been too much happening really! All still on course though. One thing that has happened is we’ve heard the heartbeat and heres a short clip recorded today courtesy of the local GP and my partner’s mobile phone!
